Futurama - 1939

Wired magazine ran a rather interesting article today, and I thought I should post it here - if nothing else, for my own reference in future.

The Original Futurama

Apparently, this is what the Futurama cartoon is named after. Given that this was done in 1939, it provides remarkable insights into design and development that was projected for 1960. In many ways, this is the anti-1984, all full of hope and positiveness.
